A CNA or Certified Nursing Assistant is a vital part of the healthcare team. You work together with the team to provide compassionate care for nursing home residents, hospital patients or patients in their home. The CNA assists patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures. A CNA is educated in a variety of patient care skills, such as taking vital signs, monitoring patients, assisting with medical procedures, feeding, dressing, showering and bed making.
With the Red Cross program you not only learn these skills, but we teach what to expect in the care giving arena and how to manage a variety of situations. It's not just a job. You truly make a difference in the lives you touch.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
